About Shehab Finance
Shehab Finance is an independent personal finance publication. Every article on this site is written and edited by one person — me, Shehab — and published under my own name. There is no ghostwriting team, no AI-first content pipeline, and no undisclosed sponsorships.
Why I built this
For years I kept a running document for friends and family who asked the same money questions again and again: how much to save before investing, whether a retirement account is worth it on a modest salary, what actually moves a credit score, why their "high-interest" savings account only paid a fraction of a percent. To answer them honestly I would dig through primary sources — regulatory filings, central bank data, consumer-protection guidance, peer-reviewed research — and translate the useful parts into plain English.
Shehab Finance is that document, turned into a website. The goal is to publish the plainest, most honest explanations I can write — the kind I would want a friend or a younger sibling to read before making a real money decision.
What I am, and what I am not
I am a writer and researcher. I have spent years reading primary-source material on personal finance, and I do the same reading for every article published here. I am not a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), a CPA, or a licensed investment advisor. Nothing on this site is personalised financial advice for your specific situation — for that, please work with a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
How Shehab Finance makes money
This site is supported by display advertising (Google AdSense) once approved, and may in the future include clearly disclosed affiliate links. Advertising and affiliate relationships never influence what I write about or the conclusions I reach. If an article contains an affiliate link, there will be a visible disclosure at the top of the article and in the site footer.
Editorial standards
Every article follows the same process:
- Written from scratch by me — no spinning, scraping, or AI-first drafts.
- Sourced primarily from official regulators, central banks, and consumer-protection bodies, plus peer-reviewed research where relevant.
- Reviewed for accuracy before publishing and re-reviewed periodically as laws, rates, and best practices change.
- Marked with a publish date and, where meaningful, a last-reviewed date.
The full policy — including how I handle corrections, sourcing, and disclosures — is in the editorial policy. If you spot an error or want to reach out, the contact page has the details.
